Duke reveals problem with PDP; impunity

Former Governor of Cross River State and now Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential aspirant, Donald Duke, has said that his former party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) does exclusive things. He said it was why the party was offering automatic ticket to governors and National Assembly members.

Duke said this in Calabar while commissioning the SDP Secretariat along Marian road Calabar on Thursday.

“I left PDP because I am a builder. I rather take a house and build rather stay in a house that is leaking even though most people don’t give us a chance but it is  our duty to surprise them’’

The former governor said the only way our current leaders could remain in office is when we do nothing and they are no alternatives, we need to give Nigerians an option between A,B, and C he stated. “If the two group of people referring to PDP and APC has consistently done the wrong thing and you vote them into office again then there is something wrong with Nigerians’’

According to Duke, SPD is on a rescue mission both in Cross River State and the Nation saying that this not the state we all know, this not the country of our dream, we are not here to offer people money, we are not the biggest party, people don’t give us a chance, but our responsibility is to prove them wrong if you believe that Nigeria is worth dying he stated.

Earlier the state Chairman of the Party Ikpi Eni Ibor commended party members in making the sacrifices of securing a benefiting party secretariat.

Governorship Aspirant on the Party platform Eyo Ekpo said they is still hope for the country under the SPD, stressing that we have known how good governance looks like, we recognize it and not something you hear he stated.
