Another deputy governor in Imo State has been impeached, making it the second since Rochas Okorocha became governor. Reports reaching SilverNews indicate that the Imo State House of Assembly just impeached the Deputy Governor, Mr Eze Madumere.
The deputy has been at loggerheads with his boss over control of the APC in the state and Okorocha felt undone and lost face at the national convention.
The deputy has now been impeached on Monday by 19 out of the 27 member-assembly, an action that began immediately after the national convention.
The Speaker of the House, Acho Ihim, said the impeachment followed the outcome of a report of a 7-man panel which was constituted by the Chief Judge of the state to investigate allegations of gross misconduct.
Mr. Eze Madumere is the second Deputy Governor to be impeached under Gov. Rochas Okorocha.
