Obasanjo storms Bayelsa, urges other states to emulate Dickson on peace and security

– Set to commission modular refinery

Former president and active political figure, Olusegun Obasanjo, stormed Bayelsa State on Friday, February 16, 2018, and gave the state governor, Seriake Dickson, a huge path on the back on peace and security.

The ex-presient urged other states to emulate the Bayelsa State chief executive on security and political stability.

Obj paid a visit to the the immediate past president, Goodluck Jonathan which was made open only by photographs he posted on social media.

Obj was in Bayelsa ostensibly on the governor’s invitation but he is billed to commission a modular refinery built by a former commissioner in the state on Saturday.

The secret visit to Jonathan however seems to take the shine off Obasanjo’s other activities who commissioned projects in the state. He was conferred with automatic Bayelsa state citizenship and chieftaincy title in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state capital, by the traditional rulers. Obasanjo also commissioned the Bayelsa state Drug Distribution Company, the state ultra-modern Diagnostic Centre and other projects and some projects done by Governor Seriake Dickson. He was pleased over the pace of development in the state.
