Benue and Nasarawa states may habour much bitterness over herdsmen attacks but the blood of botherhood still runs deeply between them.
Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State demonstrated this recently when gas exploded in Nasarawa State and he moved fast to show sympathy and empathy.
Ortom sympathized with the government and people of Nasarawa State, particularly families of victims of the gas explosion at a filling station in Lafia. Governor Ortom describes the incident as sad and unfortunate.
He expressed the hope that emergency management agencies would ensure that survivors got timely medical attention.
Governor Ortom prayed for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives in the incident and wished consolation to those who lost loved ones as well as speedy recovery of the injured.
