Ortom orders appointees eyeing elective positions to resign before May 29.

The Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom, has directed his appointees interested in running for the 2019 elections to resign before the 29th of this month or be sacked.

The Governor said the decision was to give the affected appointees enough time to concentrate on their campaign programmes while paving way for others to assume such positions and also contribute to the development of the state.

It is not clear if distractions have set in or if disloyalty due to realignments have become obvious.
