Osinbajo adresses crowd after chopper crash

The Vice president's helicopter that crashed in Kabba axis of Kogi during his visit to launch trader moni on Saturday
Vice president Yemi Osibanjo who narrowly escaped from a crash in a helicopter addressed a crowd soon after.
Osinbajo escaped unhurt  Saturday  when the propeller of the helicopter he was travelling  in suddenly pulled off at the Kabba township stadium.

An eye witness disclosed that  the vice president’s helicopter managed to  land at about 2.22pm at the township stadium before the propeller of the helicopter suddenly pulled off  and was flying in the sky when  faithfuls had gathered to welcome the vice president, however  there was no casualty.

As at the time of filling in this report,  the remote cause of the minor accident was not known, but it was learnt that the pilot of the helicopter might have found it difficult to land due to the dusty terrain of the stadium.

It  was gathered that immediately the incident happened, the Vice president was evacuated from the scene of the incident into a waiting vehicle and  was thereafter driven in convoy of other political office holders to the palace of Obaro of Kabba where he paid a courtesy call.

Osibanjo who was billed to launch the trader moni in Kabba was expected to visit Okene in central axis of the state and Idah in the Eastern axis before he returns to Abuja. However,  the Vice president  later addressed some party supporters at St Augudtine ‘s college.
