The Port Harcourt International Airport was temporarily closed today,  Saturday,  June 22, 2019, after an Air Peace airline suffered a near crash.

The airplane from Lagos skipped the runway on arrival at the Port Harcourt International airport, Omagwa.

According to our reporter at the airport at the time of the incident, the aircraft skipped the runway probably because visibility occasioned  by a heavy down pour as at the time of arrival.

It was gathered that there was no casualty.

The airport was however, temporally closed, awaiting an order from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority ( N c aa) to reopen it.
