The Voice of Wisdom (VOW) is now among the growing list of gospel musicians in Nigeria, with her new song entitled Great and Mighty God. VOW or Miss Wisdom Nwachukwu, daughter of the South-South General Manager of Business Day, Mr Ignatius Chukwu, wowed the Port Harcourt audience last Sunday at the Hub on Peter Odili Road.

Miss Wisdom Chukwu, whose golden voice is already earning her plaudits from her numerous fans, especially in Rivers State, was unveiled on Sunday, 23rd June, 2019, by JC Records. It was a mega event.

Other emerging gospel musicians, all numbering over 40, were also unveiled. Each of the artistes was given between five and 10 minutes to sing their lead songs amidst cheers from the large audience who came to witness the show.

When it was Wisdom Chukwu’s turn to sing, she elegantly danced to the stage, took the microphone and began to thrill the audience with her soul-lifting song – Great and Mighty God -, electrifying the over 1,500 guests in the hall with her performance.

It was as if the song caused an over-flow of God’s anointing as the hall was almost on fire, with most of the guests rocking their feet, waists and hands to the rhythm of the song while many others, led by Mr Ignatius Chukwu and his wife, trooped to the stage to dance with Wisdom. It was indeed a glorious sight.

Earlier, popular Port Harcourt preacher, Archbishop Elkana Hansen, in a brief exhortation, charged the new artistes to use their singing talents to serve God.

He said like David, the artistes could use their talents to transform lives, heal the sick, the broken-hearted, the tormented and also lift the name of God higher, if only they will be committed to their calling as gospel musicians.

The event was graced by many dignitaries such as the king of Ataba Town in Andoni, Chief Anabs Sara-Igbe, Barr Okeretubo, IYC president, former governorship candidate of Fresh in Rivers State and Deputy Chairman of PFN, Rev. Dr Minaibi Dagogo-Jack, among others.
