-Plays host to top man of God, Kumuyi

Quiet history was made in the Brick House in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. The new governor, Siminalayi Fubara, presided over the Rivers State Executive Council meeting, the first since being sworn-in as executive governor.
He also carried out the inauguration of 14 new commissioners currently being constituted into the ongoing new council.
Government House statement signed by Mr Boniface Onyedi, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Gov Fubara, said the significance of the meeting is located in the fact that it espoused the direction that the current administration is headed.
The SSA also said it pointed to the need for each member of the council to align with the overall vision of building a prosperous Rivers State anchored on the continuity and consolidation agenda.
In attendance at the meeting were the deputy governor, Prof Ngozi Odu, Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo, Chief of Staff, Government House, Hon. Chidi Amadi, Commissioners and Head of Rivers State Civil Service, Dr. George Nwaeke.
Meanwhile, Fubara played host to the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministries, Pastor (Dr) W.F. Kumuyi, and his team today at the Executive Council Chambers of Government House, Port Harcourt.
A statement from the Government House the meeting was to synergize with the Church for peace and development of the State.
The governor was said to have emphasised the need to always work with the Christian faith for the advancement of humanity.
