In obedience to a court order that asked the Department of State Service (DSS) to either release or charge the suspended Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, the secret police has chosen to charge him.
This is said to be in line with the court order during the hearing of his fundamental human rights case on Monday, 13 July, 2023.
According to Channels Television breaking news, DSS Spokesperson, Peter Afunaya, confirmed the latest development.
Details of the charges are known yet as at the time of filing this report, indicating that the DSS may not concluded their hunt for his offences.
