A happy people:
Well, I want to express my profound gratitude to God first, for making today a success. I want to sincerely acknowledge all the chiefs here present; Chief White, Chief Sunny Nkpe and other chiefs.
We are here this evening to formally launch the security scheme and security apparatus to Alesa community. I think this is the first time we are receiving a strong gesture from a company that is coming to our community. I want to use this opportunity to let other investors know that this is a community you are trying to come into. The Mayor of Housing is not coming to buy and sell land, but to develop the place for us.
I have the blueprint of what is happening there; by this time next year, Alesa will not be the same again; all because of what Mayor of Housing has come to do. The community, the secretary, the palace secretary Godwin Jibia, and the President-General of Alesa Youth Congress, Comrade Nwafor Ndiwator, have confirmed that we are not selling land to any other investors. Alesa people have accepted the Mayor of Housing as the one to come and develop the land for Alesa community. That is why he has brought all these gadgets.
You can see what he has brought, all these gadgets here. So, this is the first time we are receiving such a gesture from our investors. Other investors in Alesa land have not done this. So, we actually appreciate Mayor of Housing for remembering Alesa community. We are practically happy with him; the Chiefs and the paramount ruler (Emperor Nkpe) is happy with him. That this is the first time that somebody that has yet to start clearing the land has come thus far to identify with the community. If the community is not properly safe, then the project and development cannot go on.
And that is the reason why we have come to make this available for Alesa community, let there be peace, and let there be security. This is because a community without security can never go far.
So, I want to appreciate all of you who have made time out to honour us today for this gesture that Mayor of Housing has done to us.
