Business women in Bonny Island of Rivers State are using the opportunity of the International Women’s Day (IWD) to train on how to achieve ease of doing business with US companies.

A seminar has been packaged by the Bonny Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BOCCIMA) to position the women in dealing with US companies.

The aim is also said to be to help women entrepreneurs and investors on the prosperous island to gain traction in business management skills and reduce drudgery and wastes that pull down businesses.

The event which holds at the Banquet Hall of the NLNG at 10am on Friday, March 6, 2020, is being organized in collaboration with the National Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) Women Group (NAWORG).

The Director-General (DG) of BOCCIMA, Mrs Constance Nwokejiobi, who confirmed the information said the event is in line with several programmes lined up to mobiles business men and women on the island toward full entrepreneurship.

She explained that Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) have their methods of operation and specific things they must see in companies around the world trying to deal with them. The seminar would help the women understand those requirements and learn how to work with them.

The outcome would also be to create a formidable women business group in BOCCIMA towards a more viable Island Chamber.
