A socio cultural organization in Etche, known as Ndedimkpa Etche held its annual special thanksgiving service on Sunday at St Matthews Anglican Church Igbo Etche to appreciate God for His mercies, goodness and favour during the year 2019.
Speaking during the thanksgiving service, the President General of Ndedimkpa Etche, Barr Chinenye Onyeso, in his address, said the group is very grateful to God Almighty for His protection and guidance during the year and prayed for God’s continued protection. He further said that the group will forever remain thankful to God Almighty. He stressed that they are here to show our gratitude and appreciation to God Almighty who made it possible for us to be alive because without God, it would have been impossible for us there today, he stressed.
He also commended the grand patron of the group, Hon Engr Prince Nnanna Opurum, the advisers, Hon Morgan Nwaobilor and Engr Onwugbuta Jcbryte for their strong support and encouragement.
Meanwhile, the rector of St Matthews Anglican Church, Igbo deanery Ven Godson Ozioma Ukaegbu lauded the group for recognising God by setting aside a day to appreciate His mercies and love and said thanksgiving is a necessity as it’s an act of appreciation for God’s divine favour.
Shortly after the thanksgiving service, Ndedimkpa Etche paid a traditional homage to HRM Eze Sir Dr Samuel Amaechi, Onye Ishi Agwuru Igboh at his palace were the group condoled with the king over the recent killing in Igbo Clan and called on the security agencies to unravel the mystery behind the killing as to identify the real killers.
Those at the thanksgiving service include HRM Eze S. N Amaechi, Hon Engr Prince Nnanna Opurum, Hon Morgan Nwaobilor, Engr J. C Bright O’gbuta among others.
After the thanksgiving service, the group also had their get together and end of the party and also exchange of gift items to their members.
