In commemorating two years in office, Comrade Johnbull Gbejegbe, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) Udu Chapter, has appreciated various individuals who contributed to the success of his tenure.
The NUT Chairman made this known yesterday, 16th November, 2023, while speaking with newsmen in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.
Gbejegbe expressed gratitude to the Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Hon. Jite Brown, for his commitment to the welfare of Udu teachers, citing the implementation of the full minimum wage for primary school teachers in Delta and the provision of an official vehicle to the NUT branch chairman, marking a historic precedent in local governance.
Gbejegbe also commended the Udu council chairman for settling primary school teachers’ arrears before the expiration of his tenure next year, and also appealed for continued collaboration between the NUT and the government for the betterment of Udu teachers.
Comrade Gbejegbe extended his appreciation to Udu teachers, recognizing their invaluable role in the success of his administration.
Special mention was given to Udu LEA Secretary Comrade Eķi Afuevure, Udu’s Head of Personnel Management (HPM), NUT State Chairman, Comrade Titus Okotie, Udu Principals, Head Teachers and his co-excos.
Gbejegbe acknowledged their unwavering support and prayed for God’s abundant blessings upon the individuals.
It is noteworthy that Comrade Gbejegbe assumed the responsibility of Udu teachers’ affairs on this same day two years ago, marking a significant milestone in his leadership journey.
The chairman expressed optimism about continued collaboration and progress for the betterment of education in Udu under his guidance.
