Wike boasts of PDP as the only party in Rivers, but Eze says Wike is plotting to join APC

PDP is the only existing party in Rivers State

Rivers State Governor,  Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has stated that the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) is the only existing political party in the state because of its commitment to the rapid development of the state.

Speaking during the defection of Former Commissioner of Education and Rivers APC Chieftain,  Chief Allwell Onyesoh with thousands of his supporters at the PDP Secretariat in Port Harcourt on Friday,  Governor Wike said that Rivers people are happy  with the performance of the PDP over the years.

He said: “There is no other party in Rivers State.  PDP is the only party as far as Rivers State is concerned.

“Except people who do not see and those who tell lies in this state, the only party that means well for Rivers State is the PDP.”

Governor Wike said that the performance of the Rivers State PDP is beyond mere propaganda.

“This is the only party that keeps its promises.  When we say a thing, we go all out to carry it out on behalf of the people,” he said.

He expressed happiness that Rivers leaders are returning to the PDP to promote the interest of the state.

Governor Wike said that the PDP returnees will enjoy equal opportunities with older members of the party.

He said: “Everybody has  equal rights.  Luckily congresses will soon start and everyone will participate.  The new entrants will fill feel at home.  The more the merrier.”

In his remarks,  former Commissioner of Education and Rivers APC Chieftain,  Chief Allwell Onyesoh, said his movement is not defection,  but homecoming.

He said: “We came back to our house. We went on a journey.  We have gone, we have seen and we have come back.”

The former Commissioner described his defection as a massive home-coming with a cross section of the APC membership from different wards of Etche. “We make bold to come back to the House that rightly belongs to us. I thank those who did not leave as they stayed home to keep the house in order,” he said.

Receiving Chief Onyesoh into the PDP, Rivers State PDP Chairman, Bro Felix Obuah, urged them never to return to the APC that has disappointed the nation.  He said that the PDP symbolises development as shown in Rivers State.

As Atiku, Secondus take Over PDP Machinery, Wike Struggles to Join APC

As events within the People’s Democratic Party continue to turn against Gov. Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike, there are indications that the Rivers Governor may be pushing hard and very tirelessly too, to land safely on the shore of the All Progressives Congress through a covert and hush-hush scheme, targeted at capturing the structure of the party in the state in his usual fickle political mannerism.

Former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP) and chieftain of the APC, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, in a statement circulated to media houses in Port Harcourt, accused Gov. Wike of working clandestinely to frustrate moves to restore peace within the Rivers APC to pave way for his entry to the party.

Eze further stressed that Gov Nyesom Wike is currently doing everything to undermine the person and personality of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of APC for refusing to accept the devilish plot of installing Aguma Igo as the State Chairman of APC to pave way for his entry into the APC through the backdoor.

Eze wonders if Wike has already joined APC to warrant him asking Comrade Adams Oshiomhole the National Chairman to resign his position or rather what is the concern of Gov. Wike if the National Chairman of APC is performing or not performing to warrant Wike to ask him to resign his position if he is not threatened with the continued stay of Oshiomhole as the National Chairman of APC.

The party chieftain said, Wike is at the verge of being expelled by Atiku Abubakar and Prince Uche Secondus for his treacherous acts in the Bayelsa gubernatorial election, where he supported the APC Candidate as a condition precedent to allowing him a space in the APC and evade probe from anti-graft agencies.

Eze said, “unfortunately for the Rivers governor, he has found out very late that the plot to hijack the APC structure in Rivers State through Aguma has failed woefully as the party will be better and better without him”.

He called on Aguma and those behind him to let the Rivers APC be, stressing that no amount of scheming will allow the illegal entry of Wike into the party.
