Wike intensifies project excution as elections knock on the door

As the challenge for the seat of governor of Rivers State gets hotter, Gov Nyesom Wike has rather intensified project execution as the hdge against zoning that the opposition is selling to the masses.

The governor has thus challenged the contractors handling the Rivers State Judges Quarters to ensure that they deliver the project in the next two months.  Governor Wike also assured the people of Rivers State that his administration would deliver on the Real Madrid Football Academy.

The opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) has pointed to a core Kalabari well-to-do international business magnet, Tonye Dele Cole, as the man to lead the charge against Wike, and they point at the option as a way of redressing the upland/riverine imbalance in the state. Wike is the fourth upland and and third Ikwerre man to govern the state since 1999.

Now, while inspecting projects on Monday in the state capital, Gov Wike exchanged words with contractors, accompanied by two state lawmakers, Messrs Ehie Edison and Major Jack.

At the Judges Quarters, the contractors were seen concluding roofing work on most of the buildings. The governor was informed that roofing work would  be completed in one month, while landscaping would be concluded within the next two months.

The governor stated that work will be sustained at the Real Madrid Football Academy in Port Harcourt, since the contractors have tackled the most difficult aspect of the project.

He said that his administration will continue to deliver on projects delivery till his mandate is renewed in 2019.

Governor Wike was celebrated by workers at the site of Rivers State Judges Quarters.
