Police to sue organizers over CP’s picture on flyers

Written by silvernewsng

The Police Command in Lagos State says it has began legal action against the organisers of a programme who used the name and picture of the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Olarenwaju Ishola, on its flyers as a guest without his consent.

The command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, made this known in a post he shared on his X handle, @benHundeyin, on Wednesday.

He said that the command was not involved with the programme.

“The command wishes to alert the general public that the command is not aware of a programme tagged ‘Global Property Conference’ whose flyer carries the name and picture of CP Ishola.

“The command hereby confirms that the flyer is the handiwork of mischief makers planning to use the name and picture of CP to confer legitimacy and endorsement on the said programme.

“Members of the public are urged to disregard the purported link of CP Ishola with the programme.

“The Command has began necessary legal action against the organisers of the programme, ” he said.

The programme, tagged ‘Global Property Conference’, was scheduled to hold on Nov. 9 at Land Mark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. (NAN)
